Custom Software Development

Custom software for the parts of your business a spreadsheet can't handle anymore

A lot of growing businesses run on a mix of Excel files, WhatsApp groups and one person who remembers everything. That works until it doesn't. We build the system that replaces it, shaped around how your team already works rather than how a software vendor thinks you should.

Talk to us about your project

You probably need this if…

  • Your stock count, sales figures or customer list live in spreadsheets that three people edit, and nobody is sure which copy is current.
  • You pay for two or three SaaS tools that each do 60% of what you need, and staff copy data between them by hand.
  • Month-end reporting takes days because the numbers have to be pulled from different places and reconciled.
  • A key process depends on one employee, and things stall when they're on leave.

What you get

A short discovery phase

We sit with the people who will use the system, not just management, and map how work actually moves today. The output is a written scope with screens, user roles and what is in and out of the first release.

Role-based access

Sales sees sales, the warehouse sees stock, finance sees everything. Every change is logged with who made it and when.

Reports you'd otherwise build by hand

The month-end numbers you currently assemble in Excel, generated on demand and exportable to Excel when your accountant asks for it.

Built for real conditions

Pages that stay usable on a slow connection, and data entry that doesn't lose work when the network drops halfway through a form.

Migration of your existing data

We import what's in your current spreadsheets or tools so you don't start from zero.

How a project runs

  1. Discover

Interviews with the people doing the work, a look at your current files and tools, and a written scope you sign off before any code is written.

  2. Build in short cycles

You see working software every one to two weeks on a staging link, not a big reveal at the end. Changes in direction are cheap early on.

  3. Launch alongside the old way

For a short period both systems run together so your team can check the numbers match before switching over fully.

  4. Train and hand over

We train the people who'll use it and leave written guides for new staff.

What we typically use

  • Python / Django
  • Node.js
  • React
  • PostgreSQL
  • Docker
  • AWS or DigitalOcean

These are tools we use often, not a fixed list. We choose the stack for each project based on what fits it best: your budget, your team, what you already run, and how the system needs to grow.

Common questions

Why not just use an off-the-shelf tool?

Often you should, and if one fits we'll tell you. Custom software makes sense when your process is what sets you apart, when you're stitching several tools together by hand, or when per-user subscription costs in dollars have started to hurt.

How much does custom software cost?

It depends on the number of user roles, how many other systems it has to talk to, and how much existing data needs migrating. After the discovery call we send a written scope with a fixed quote for the first release, so you know the number before committing. You can pay in naira or dollars.

How long does it take?

A focused internal tool can be live in weeks; a system that replaces several tools across departments takes a few months. We'd rather ship a smaller first version quickly and grow it than spend six months building in the dark.

Who owns the code?

You do. The source code, hosting accounts and admin access are handed over to you at the end of the project.

Have something like this in mind?

A few lines about the problem is enough to start. We'll reply with questions and an honest view of how we'd approach it.
