Maintenance & Ongoing Support
Someone who answers when your system breaks, and stops it breaking in the first place
Software doesn't stay finished. SSL certificates expire, servers fill up, payment providers change their APIs, and the developer who built it moved on two years ago. We look after systems so they keep running, whether we built them or not.
Talk to us about your projectYou probably need this if…
- The developer who built your system is no longer available.
- You only find out your site is down when a customer tells you.
- Nobody has checked whether your backups actually restore.
- You have a list of small fixes and improvements that never get done.
What you get
Monitoring
Uptime, error and performance monitoring with alerts to us, so problems are often fixed before you notice them.
Security updates
Framework, library and server updates applied and tested on a regular schedule.
Backups that are tested
Automated backups, and periodic test restores to prove they work.
A monthly hours budget
Time set aside each month for bug fixes and small improvements, with a log of what was done.
A monthly report
Uptime, incidents, updates applied and what's coming up, in plain language.
How a project runs
-
Audit
For systems we didn't build, we start with a review of the code, hosting and security, and give you a written list of risks in order of urgency.
-
Stabilise
Fix the urgent issues, set up monitoring and backups.
-
Maintain
Regular updates, monitoring, and your monthly hours for fixes and improvements.
What we typically use
- Linux servers
- Docker
- AWS / DigitalOcean / Vercel
- Uptime & error monitoring
- Django, Node.js, React, Flutter, WordPress
These are tools we use often, not a fixed list. We choose the stack for each project based on what fits it best: your budget, your team, what you already run, and how the system needs to grow.
Common questions
Will you support a system you didn't build?
Yes. We start with an audit so we both know what we're taking on, and tell you honestly if something needs rebuilding rather than patching.
How fast do you respond?
Response times are agreed in your support plan, with faster response for outages than for small fixes. Our support team is based in Nigeria.
What if I want to leave?
Everything stays in your accounts: code, hosting, domain and backups. You can move to another team at any time.
Have something like this in mind?
A few lines about the problem is enough to start. We'll reply with questions and an honest view of how we'd approach it.
